Privacy
I count visits to this site to see which pages are read and where it breaks. That is all it is for. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to an advertising or analytics company, and it is kept in a database I control.
What I count
- Which page was opened, and from which site you came (the site's name only, or a campaign tag if the link had one).
- A browser and system family (for example “Firefox on Linux”), never a version, and a device size class (phone, tablet or desktop).
- Your country, as your network reports it. Your IP address is never stored.
- Clicks on links and buttons, how far you scroll, how fast the page loaded, and errors.
- If you send a message through the contact form, the message and the details you typed are stored and emailed to me. They are not used for anything else.
What I never collect
Your name or email from browsing, your IP address, anything that follows you to other sites, or a fingerprint of your device. A visit is a random code kept only in your browser tab; it is gone when you close the tab.
How long
Visit records are deleted after 13 months. The site also respects “Do Not Track” and “Global Privacy Control”: if your browser sends either, nothing is counted at all.
